The MRIKPA is a volunteer patient organisation that liaises with the MRI renal service to ensure all patients get the best care possible, so the AGM is an important chance for us to express our activities to the members and for you to ask us questions.
Sunday 13th September, 10.00am, at the Smart Cookie Tuition Centre, WA15 8AN & online via Zoom.

MRIKPA - Our work and aims
Living with kidney disease—navigating CKD, dialysis, and transplantation—takes incredible resilience. While medicine offers no easy cures, nothing lightens the load quite like patients and carers supporting each other.
Since 1982, the MRI Kidney Patient Association (KPA) has been driven by a simple truth: no one understands a patient like another patient. We bridge the gap between medical treatment and daily life—offering peer support, emergency grants, and a strong voice to advocate for NHS resources. Informed, supported patients receive better care and help improve care for everyone.
To keep this vital lifeline going, we need the next generation of patients and supporters to step forward. Whether you can offer a little time, a specific skill, or simply your personal story, your contribution will make a real impact.

The internet is driving charity organisations today. So, we have an independent website: www.mrikpa.org.uk
This will also combine with all the existing social media channels to ensure there is KPA interaction with patient’s posts where appropriate.
This site aims to be an informative site for all MRI kidney patients who have many questions about their care and knowledge of how to navigate kidney disease. We don’t intend to repeat the excellent information already on the web, but to signpost a visitor to the best sites for particular enquires. We will add in commentary about the MRI approach where appropriate.
