Make a complaint or compliment

For compliments, concerns or complaints about Manchester Royal Infirmary, patients and families can contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS). PALS offers confidential support, helps resolve issues quickly where possible, and can explain the formal complaints process if needed.

You can contact PALS by email at pals@mft.nhs.uk, by telephone on 0161 276 8686 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm), or by writing to PALS & Complaints, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Cobbett House, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9WL.

If you would like to share a compliment, positive feedback can also be sent to patient.compliments@mft.nhs.uk. If a concern cannot be resolved through PALS and needs a formal investigation, a complaint can usually be made within 12 months of the event, or within 12 months of becoming aware of the issue, by emailing complaints@mft.nhs.uk or calling 0161 276 4509.

Independent support with NHS complaints is also available through VoiceAbility on 0300 303 1660.
